Video Rewards is a cell phone application that I'm using on iOS (iPhone4). It's one of the simplest to use apps EVER! Like the name implies, you watch Videos then get Rewarded.
Now the credit/point conversion to dollars structure isn't as great with Video Rewards as with many other apps but this program is paying out steadily and that's important in my books. I'm thinking that with a lower conversion of points to the dollar, this program is going to remain very stable. That's GOOD NEWS for me, 'cos I LIKE watching videos and getting rewarded to do so!
The milestone I reached is the first minimum payment amount. I can cash out if I want, however, I'm looking for something a little more substantial as a cash out, so I'll keep my credits in place and wait 'til I hit the next milestone for a Paypal cashout or a gift card.
I have over 6700 points saved up (a few more ads were viewed after I did this screenshot and the screenshot below), and now I can redeem the points for an Amazon gift card. Like I said above, however, I want a more substantial payout, so I'm going to be patient, keep viewing, and cash out in a few days at a higher redemption.

Typically videos viewed gain 5 points each, so it takes viewing about 1000 videos to gain 5000 points. 5000 points will allow you to redeem and get a $2.50 Amazon (US site) gift card. Waiting to gain 10,000 points will allow you to gain $5 Paypal or a $5 Wal-Mart, BestBuy, Startucks, or Target gift card.
As you can see, the conversion of points to gain Paypal cash (or other rewards) isn't too great. What keeps me doing these activities is what I've said in other posts and on most of the app pages on the site/blog... I don't have to do anything else after I gain the points. I just convert to cash or redeem for a gift card.
With traditional online marketing methods, people do very similar things online but with an extra, risky step. They surf/view vids, collect credits (and here's the extra, risky step), and then they promote something else with those credits - something they hope will convert to cash or sign-ups or whatever they're after - and THEN they might get rewards (the sign up) or cash (a sale).
I have found most of the phone apps I use to be a better use of my time and to generate income/rewards with much less risk than for my marketing activities. The income/rewards appear, on the surface, to be very little, but I'm telling you - things add up and rewards are stable - more stable than trying to count on surfing in a Traffic Exchange, exchanging my credits to promote a capture page and hope someone signs up on the capture page... (that's not even the end of the marketing steps there, even if someone enters their details in my capture page - I still have to "pitch" a product, service, share knowledge or freebies via email, hope the subscriber reads those emails and responds to my emails in a way that is beneficial for both of us).
Yeah, man - I'm going to surf on cell phones a while longer and keep letting some pretty reliable funds come in while I work on honing my capture pages and marketing emails.
